"What is it that Thou Wilt Have Me Do?"

Happy Halloween from the Super Sister Missionaries!
Yoo-whoo family!!!!! 🙋🏽
How are y'all doin?? Hope everyone is staying healthy & safe. This week was another fast one. Time is going quick. Can't believe October is over already...boy oh boy! Last week Monday, we had normal fun Pday stuff. We planned for our Halloween Pday today so I'll send some pics either today or next week. Tuesday we had exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders. It was so awesome. I have such an even stronger testimony of prayer. We didn't have any set appointments but we were able to literally talk with everyone. Even learned how to ask someone in Spanish if they want a card about Jesus Christ. That was fun cuz a lot of people here think I'm Hispanic so I now can actually say something but nothing more after that haha. Something cool happened. We said a prayer cuz we didn't know where to go & we decided to go & see a bible referral that we had a few weeks ago. Her name is Pamela & we set a return appointment to teach her & her family for Wednesday at 6. Please pray for her that all will go well 😊 that little miracle was a huge blessing for us cuz we have an even stronger testimony that Heavenky Father truly does hear & answer our prayers. We were also able to place 4 Book of Mormons that day in about 20 minutes & we set up a return appointment with a former potential name Tim. Miracles are coming but all in Gods timing.
Sister Training Leaders

Wednesday, we had an awesome district meeting about the importance of nightly planning & having the courage to literally talk with everyone. It was super great cuz it was an even stronger witness that the Lord is so mindful of us & our needs.

Sister Pahulu and some photo bomber in the back! LOL!
After district meeting, we found out that our car was not in good shape, so we had to take it to Pep Boys. It took like all day but hey, we ended up running into Mr. Lynn. We had a lesson with him & we also met this sweet older lady name Wenona who actually has family that are Mormons. Heavenly Father truly does place people in our paths who are ready & who are waiting to hear the gospel. She thanked us cuz she told us that she's been attending a church that's too loud & crazy for her & so, she said she would check out our church. We truly are planting seeds! There are opportunities all around us to share the gospel. We just need to pray for those opportunities & the Lord will bless us. Thursday, we had our weekly planning but we also had to make a trip to Chevy. More car problems 😒 but hey, we had an opportunity to share the gospel again with the sweet lady Nancy, who helped us. Man, it was so great!!! Friday, we had our follow-up training with President & Sister Whitney. We learned so much. Love our missions President & his wife so much. The light of Christ just shines through them.
A girl's gotta bike on a mission!
Saturday, we went & gave our service to the Furgo family who are moving out of the ward. That was so sad to say goodbye to them. We also had another service opportunity with the Spanish training leaders, the zone leaders & the sister training leaders but it totally was canceled. Lame! We went & got our car checked & we were told that it should be fine until we take it in on Thursday, so please pray for our car 🙏🏽 later that night, we had our ward Falloween activity! Oh my gosh, it was so fun. We met a family from Egypt that was invited by nonmembers. We have no idea who they were but they came & had a great time. So proud of our members who jumped right in to make feel comfortable 😁
My buddy, Bennie!
Falloween Fun!
Sweet little Railyn!

Us with Jacob.
Sunday, was fast & testimony meeting. The Blackburns didn't make it. Such a bummer. Satan is really working on them so I ask that y'all would please pray for the Blackburn family! I love fast Sunday. It's a chance that we have to hear the sweet testimonies of others & to share our testimonies as well. We got to hear from a return missionary that just got back about 3 days ago. It's so awesome to that fire that he has & how life changing the mission really is. Right after church, we had a great lesson with Nate who is a recent convert & a new move in. He has such a strong testimony of the church & he's been through a lot. He's the only member in his family & the rest of his family are strong baptist. It's so humbling to see the faith that he has & the diligence that he has. After dinner with the Hills, we went & met a family that just moved in to our ward. They're Vietnamese & they're so cute. The Nguyen family. Pronounced Win. This week was a week full of miracle & blessings.
My comp is the best! I love Sister Willey!
I am continually reminded of the love that my Heavenly Father has for me. I am grateful that I have this sacred time in my life to learn of him & be his instrument in building his kingdom. I love him because he first loved me. I was reminded of a story in the Book of Mormon, of a prophet who was called the Brother of Jared. He was commanded by God to build barges to save his people & help them get to the promised land. They had 3 specific "problems". They had no air, no light & nothing to steer the barges with. The Brother of Jared went to God in prayer & asked for guidance. That's when we learn that, the Lord instructed him on how to make windows for air. He then told him to figure out how they would have light & sure enough they were blessed with light. Then the Lord tells him to not worry & that he would be there to steer them to the promised land. It's such a perfect example of asking in faith & then acting on whatever the Lords requires of us. Not only does he love us, but he trust us ❤ I testify that as we spend time with our Heavenly Father in prayer that he really does hear us & come to our rescue. He has ears to hear & a mouth to speak. I want to challenge y'all to pray & ask the Lord, "what is it that thou would have me do?" Then ask him for the strength & courage to except his will & what he tells us to do. I love y'all so much & I know that as you do this, you will gain a stronger witness of the love that our Heavenly Father & Savior, Jesus Christ has for each us. I leave you my witness that they do love us & only want the best for us. Trust in him & he will direct us & comfort us on our journey back to him. Have a fabulous week 'ohana!! Love y'all so so so much!!! Until next week.
Hurrah for Israel!!

Gosh, I Love Being a Missionary!

Aloha you beautiful people who I don't hear from sometimes......🤔
How was everyone's week?? Hope y'all are doing well. I can't believe this month is almost over already. My days are just flying by here on the mish. It's crazy! Oh it's been getting a lot cooler here to thank goodness. So this week was a busy week full of finding, getting sick & doing service. Last week Monday, Sister Willey & I had dinner with a cute new family who just moved into our ward from Arlington. The Duke family. They're so awesome & they have 3 cute little girls. It was nice to meet them & get to know them more. Tuesday, we went & did service at the food pantry & the Zone Leaders ended up being there too so that was cool. Funny story, they had us missionaries & half of the volunteers trying to figure out how to put together a bassinet for like an hour & 45 minutes. No one had a clue what we were doing but hey, the 4 of us figured it out. Preparation for the after mission life haha 😂 after dinner with the Jones family (love them & their cute kiddos), we had a lesson with Aodhan & Alyssa York. Sister Villarreal came along with us & it was great. They're teaching us more then we're teaching them. Their so pumped & so exited to learn about the gospel.
The Squad
Wednesday, we had district meeting. Sister Willey gave her first training & she did fantastic 💁🏽 after that we came home & did some 12 Week & then we finished up organizing our area book. We had dinner with the Hilsinger family. Then I got sick again 😷 no bueno. Thank goodness for members who take such good care of us! Thursday, we did our weekly planning & then Mr. Lynn canceled on us 😒 please pray for him & also Alana cuz we haven't been able to see her either this week. We went out & tried contacting some people. After dinner with the awesome Murray family, we went & had a lesson with the Blackburns. It was so great. We mainly were focusing on reestablishing our purpose with them & it went so good. We found out that Christy has been reading the Book of Mormon & Matt opened up to us & thanked us for helping him regain his faith in Christ. It was so good to know that we're actually making a difference in someone's life. Yes, as missionaries we do get discouraged at times, so it's really humbling to hear how truly grateful someone is for all the time & effort that we put in to teach & help them come unto Christ. The gospel is slowly changing their lives & they've committed to coming to church next week Sunday as a family so please, please, pray for them that they will come!
When there's no mixer, use your hand!
Friday, we went & did service for Toni. Long story short, she's a nonmember who loves sister missionaries & lives in the same area that our district leaders cover. Her husband who is less active, has had 2 major surgeries & a stroke that left him with no feeling on the right side of his body all in a matter of a month. Poor guy. It was so nice to help her get her house ready for when he comes home. It was good for her to be around us cuz everyone calls her a dry Mormon. She's basically a Mormon but she just hasn't gotten wet yet, or in other words, she just hasn't gotten baptized yet. We talked a lot about the situation that their in now & about how God gives us trials to humble us & to help us learn & grow. She's super sweet & we enjoyed doing service for her. Hopefully we'll be able to make a good impact on her some how. Please pray for her & her family. Later that night, we had dinner with sweet Sister Rose & then we went & visited the Yi family. Sister Yi (who grew up in Hawai'i) made butter mochi 😍Ohhhh man!!! It was so bomb. Made me miss home haha. So grateful for her! Saturday, we went & helped the city with their ones a year big "fixer-upper" project. It was so fun. We basically fixed up this ladies house for her. We repainted & cleaned up her yard for her too. We also got to have a little lesson with one of the volunteers, Billie, who's actually looking for a church. Hopefully he'll be a new investigator for us. It was super fun & neat to meet such wonderful people.
The crazy things we do!
We had dinner with the Blankenfelds & they totally took us over to try & meet a neighbor who seems pretty legit. She wasn't home though but she's interested in learning more & she too is currently looking for a church to attend. Hopefully we'll be able to start teaching her soon too. Sunday, poor Sister Willey got sick 😷 we went & got a blessing from our awesome zone leaders for her, & then we headed to church to enjoyed the primary presentation & partake of the sacrament. I love them little kiddos. It's amazing to see how fast they learn & grow in the gospel. Love the primary keiki! We also introduced ourselves to a lady name Elaine, who's not a member but is currently looking for a church to attend. Her friend (who we later found out is a less active member), totally recommend our church for her to attend & she came. We were able to get her contact info & we're working on setting an appointment with her to teach her more about our church & what we believe in. Such a tender mercy from the Lord ❤ After dinner with the Growalds, we had another lesson with the York kiddos. It was so good. All I ask is that y'all would pray for them & their family that will be able to be baptized soon. Gosh, I love being a missionary. It's hard work but it's so worth it. Yes things don't always go the way we want it go, but we have faith that it always happens when the Lord needs it to happen. I love y'all so much. Have a fabulous week 'ohana. Until next week!!
The Growalds!
Hurrah for Israel!

Heavenly Father Knows the Secret Pleadings of Our Hearts

Sister Matson (my mom) and her companion.
What's good in the neighborhood?

Wassup you beautiful people 🤗 okay so my weeks are seriously going by way too fast. This week consisted of meetings, miracles & little tender mercies of the Lord. Last week, we had a super chill Pday. Nothing too crazy happened. Tuesday & Wednesday, we went to the food pantry & did service. Love all those volunteers so much. We had a super good lesson with one of the volunteers name Christine, about how important families are & how we can be with them forever. She loved that idea. She didn't seem to interested in learning more right now but still, we planted a seed. Wednesday, we had like 2 bible referrals that we received. It was awesome. One of them was a family that is super strong & active in a nondenominational church. Rachel (the mother who requested the bible), was so happy to see us & before we left, we were able to give her a Book of Mormon & pray with her entire family, it was so great! We're planning on going by again this week to check up on them again. Please pray for her & her family 😊

Thursday, we had the super awesome privilege of having Elder Kim B. Clark & his wife come & have a conference with us missionaries. He is an area seventy which is someone who oversees & helps out a certain area of members in the church. It was so great. He taught us things that were so inspired from the Lord. Super cool experience, so, Sister Willey & I have been making it a goal to be more exactly obedient & striving to become more perfect teachers & that was exactly what Elder Clark taught us how to do. It definitely was a big answer to our prayers & it helped me personally in so many different ways. Something that stood out to me was a statement that was said, "obedience brings blessings, but exact obedience brings miracles." I can tell you that this week alone, I've seen little miracles & I truly recognized Gods hand in my life, on my mission & in the lives of those around me. It's been truly a humbling week. Another thing that stood out to me was something that Sister Clark talked about. She talked about how the Lord expects us to work. Study it out in our minds & then asking God first if it be right. She gave us 7 specific things that we can do as children of God, that will help us in missionary work.
  1. Focus on Jesus Christ
  2. Follow him
  3. Filled with faith
  4. Fear not
  5. Finding the Spirit
  6. Feeling the Spirit
  7. Finding people to teach/talk to
She said that as we do this, Heavenly Father will bless us with the courage & strength to open our mouths & to preach the gospel to everyone. I thought that was such an eye opener. Yes, sharing the gospel can be scary sometimes, but we are promised that we will have the Lords help & guidance with us every step of the way. It was such a good conference. The Lord is so mindful of each one of our needs.
Sister Clark and I. She was so inspirational!
Friday, we had our Zone Council where all of us missionaries in one area get together & have a meeting. It was super great. I later got really sick & was basically forced to take the rest of the day to rest. I'm grateful that I have such a loving companion who is so patient. Also grateful for wonderful members who gave me a priesthood blessings. Saturday, I wasn't feeling 100% but we still made it a point to go & do service for the Cotton family. Our district Leaders came & helped out & we had super good lunch after.
Giving service!
Giant root I dug out!
We got to see Alana & teach her about baptism & repentance. She told us that she's doesn't want to commit to a specific date until she talks to her sister first. We bore our testimony that if it's her desire, Heavenly Father will make everything fall into place for her. She was very thankful for the support & we told her that we would be here every step of the way. Please pray for her. After that, we went & set up for our "Meet the Mormons" activity. It turned out really great. We watched the movie "Meet the Mormons" & after the movie, we had a display of the different auxiliaries in our church that people could look at & learn more about. Lynn & Lisa came & a few other non member came as well. It was so fun & so helpful for the investigators that came. Sunday was same old good Sunday. We got to see the Twendele family after church. Mimi just had her baby a few days ago. He's so cute!!! We found out that they're doing great. They had to push their baptism date back but please pray for them.

The newsest member of the Twendele ʻohana - Little Chris!
I love y'all so much! Every day is truly an amazing day. It's been
frustrating because I have been getting sick a lot this past week, which made the work a little difficult but, I can testify that as we continue to put our best efforts forward, Heavenly Father will do whatever it takes, to help us accomplish what he asks of us. Let us be courageous like Nephi & go & do the things which the Lord had commanded us to do. I have a testimony that only Heavenly Father knows the secret pleadings of our hearts. He can & will help us become who we were meant to become. These past 10 months has been nothing but growth, blessings & miracles. I love this gospel so very much & it makes me so happy to see others lives changed by the little things. It's the little things that makes all the difference. Thank y'all so much for all the love & support. I truly do feel feel the love each day. You are all in my prayers & in my heart. Hope y'all have a spiritual full of miracles!!!!! Love y'all ❤ until next week!
Forever my Taʻahine Tonga!
Hurrah for Israel!
